Adjacent to this is the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, dedicated to the world’s smallest bear species. The Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC) provides an immersive experience into Borneo’s rich avian diversity, featuring a 147-meter-long canopy walkway that offers unparalleled views of the forest and its inhabitants. The area is also a haven for birdlife, with frequent sightings of hornbills, kingfishers, and the rare Storm’s Stork.
Tabin Wildlife Reserve

The reserve is home to nine primate species, including the endangered Bornean Gibbon, and over 220 bird species, such as the Bornean Wren-Babbler and the Blue-headed Pitta. Tabin’s mud volcanoes attract wildlife seeking mineral-rich soils, providing excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Night safaris may reveal nocturnal creatures like the Clouded Leopard and the Slow Loris.
Danum Valley
