It was a brilliantly warm afternoon when Waldy Brouwer from Holland and I begun our 8 day bird and nature adventure . First stop was my old stomping ground - Kuala Selangor and the paddy fields of Sekincan.
Bird Malaysia - Natural History Tours organized a tour of Malaysia for me. I visited Sungai Sedim, Royal Belum State Park and Temengor Forest Reserve/Lake, Taman Negara – Merapoh and Lake Kenyir. Overall, during the tour, I recorded 264 species, of which 76 were lifers. Sungai Sedim, Royal Belum State Park and Temengor Forest Reserve/Lake – 5 Hornbill's – Black, Great, Pied and Plain-pouched, 3 Malkoha's – Red-billed and Black-bellied, Chestnut-naped Forktail. Buffy-fish Owl at a daytime roost, Lesser Fish Eagles, Oriental Honey Buzzard.
Trip Review - July 2014 - Helena. Andrew was great at quickly pointing them out and was really good company. He also looked after as well, making my feel reassured on this my first trip on my own.
