Along with the Tropical Andes Ecological hotspot we co-share the highest diversity of vascular plants on the planet. We are also the epicentre of the world’s diversity of marine fish, corals and mangroves. When it comes to what is on land and in the ocean Malaysia is truly The Greatest Show on Earth

Malaysia including both the Peninsular and Borneo is home to over 740 species of birds. There are 3 main routes for birding in the peninsular i.e. the Central Route and The Northern Route and the Hornbill Route. The routes cover 4 ecological zones namely i.e. montane forest, lowland forest and wetland and shore birds. Langkawi Island is home to 236 species of birds and is a favourite standalone birdwatching destination.
